President Obama Has Changed Someone s Life Essay - 701 Words

Historical people such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, George Washington, Fraklin D Roosevelt, George Washington , Franklin D. Roosevelt, Rose Parks, President Barack Obama has influenced someone in a positive way to develop their life. In fact, I imagine that one day my name could be added to the list of influential people who has changed someone s life in a positive way. Alternatively, my goal is that I would be known as a person who helped the younger generation to exceed in life. In the Untied states more than 3.5 million people experience homelessness each year. 35% of the homeless population are families with children. Which is the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. 23% are United States military veterans. The U.S. Department of Justice estimated that there are 1.6 million homeless and ran away youth in this country. Most are between the ages of 15-17 years old. they are equally divided between males and females. Furthermore about a third are black. Lastly, t his problem must be solved. At 3 Avenue 149 Street , their is a good amount of drug addicts who sleeps on the church steps every day in the Spring,Winter, Autumn and Winter. However , their is a young African American male who looks as if he is 18 years old who wears the same clothes everyday. What has this young boy done to put himself in this situation ? Is he addicted to drugs? Was he disrespectful to his parents and this is the outcome of his situation? Did he run away from home?
